About Us — The Sanderson Lacrosse Legacy

For generations, the Sanderson name has been part of the heartbeat of lacrosse in Orangeville and across Canada. From legendary players and coaches to the community that raised them, the Sanderson family has helped shape the game into what it is today.

The Sanderson legacy in lacrosse runs deep. From the late Terry Sanderson — one of the most respected coaches and builders in Canadian box lacrosse — to his son, brothers and nephews who carried the torch as elite players, coaches, and mentors, the family’s influence can be seen at every level of the sport. Their name is synonymous with passion, teamwork, and the Orangeville Northmen tradition of excellence.

That same dedication to the sport lives on through Sanderson Lacrosse — proudly operated by Deron Sanderson and his wife, Jennifer, along with their boys Noah, Ollie, and Theo.

When Deron and Jen took over Sanderson Source for Sports about five years ago, they continued the family’s long-standing connection to the lacrosse community — not on the floor, but behind the scenes, helping players, parents, and teams find the gear they need to succeed.

Today, Sanderson Lacrosse is more than a store. It’s a place built by people who know the game inside and out — a place where local players stop in for a chat, a stringing, or a piece of advice before the next big game. Whether it’s the Orangeville Northmen or the next generation picking up a stick for the first time, the team here is proud to keep the Sanderson legacy strong.

From our family to yours — thank you for being part of the game.
