FlipTek is Cascade’s first-of-its-kind flip-up facemask system. To activate, press the two buttons on the sides of the mask — the mask rotates up, giving you instant access to hydrate, rest, and connect on the sidelines without removing your helmet. When you’re ready to go back on the field, pull the mask down and you’ll hear two audible clicks confirming it’s locked back in place and game-ready. The entire system is operable with lacrosse gloves on.

The Z Lateral Impact System is an all-new protection technology designed specifically for the Cascade Z helmet that improves lateral impact absorption compared to previous Cascade helmets. Does the Z replace the XRS Pro or SL?
No — the Z is a brand new addition to the Cascade lineup, not a replacement. The XRS Pro, XRS Youth, SL, CPV-R, and CSR remain in the lineup. The Z is a new experience built on top of the existing range, designed for adult players looking for the most advanced helmet Cascade has ever made.
Is the Cascade Z legal for play?
Yes — the Cascade Z has been certified to the relevant NOCSAE standards and meets all requirements for sanctioned NCAA, NFHS, and Lacrosse Canada men’s field lacrosse play. Note: the goalie version with throat protector secures the mask in place and does not flip up during play.
